Skin Needling

What is it? Skin needling, dry tattooing, needle-dermabrasion, Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT), Percutaneous Collagen Induction (PCI), Skin Remodeling and, now, Multitrepannic Collagen Actuation (MCA) are all names used to describe a tattoo procedure, where the result of the healing process results in improved skin texture and thickens the dermis.

Skin needling actually creates thicker skin and improves the integrity of the skin. Repeated treatments are possible, unlike other methods of resurfacing which eventually thin and age the skin, due to the destruction and removal of whole layers of epidermis.

This procedure is used to reduce wrinkles, laxity, acne scaring, pits, discoloration, stretch marks, surgical scaring, burn and trauma scaring. It is simple, safe, painless, has no complications, and my clients consistently get great results.

How is it done?

The procedure is performed with a coil tattoo machine - and completed in less than an hour. First, a topical anesthetic is applied to your skin and then the machine is used to dry tattoo (tattoo the area without ink). Your body perceives this as an injury to your skin. This perceived injury induces the release collagen and elastin fibers a part of your body's natural healing process. Skin needling creates minimal dermal damage without the removal of the healthy epidermis, which happens with other resurfacing techniques. Your body has the amazing ability to renew skin; by creating this perceived injury, your body does what it does best - it makes brand new healthy skin.

The Results

The reduction of wrinkles, fine lines, reduced laxity and more even tone skin. You will have thicker healthier skin. The most dramatic results are produced from the first treatment. Follow-up procedures do result in additional improvements and help the skin to create a habit of growing healthier skin.

Immediately after the treatment, you will have redness, and it actually feels like a slight sunburn. This will last a day or two, and can be covered up with makeup. Follow-up treatments can be done after 30 days. However, the results after 30 days are not a real indication of the end results. You will continue to have new results for up to a year.

Testimonials:

My first visit to Estelle was several years ago to have my eyebrows tattooed. I was so afraid! I was in my 40s at the time and liked a "natural" look. Meaning I used makeup but made it "look" like it was natural. Estelle explained the procedure so clearly and her calm nature reassured me.

I am now 50 years old and I have had my brows, lips and eyes tattooed. No one can ever tell it is permanent makeup.

Even more amazing is the skin needling that Estelle has done on me. When she told me about needling, I was skeptic le in the beginning. Again her clear explanation of the way it tricks your own body into using its natural defense to rejuvenate and "heal" the skin made sense. I gave it a try and I'm SO glad I did! My skin has never looked better. People are shocked when I say I'm 50 and always say "you have no wrinkles!" The added benefit to me was it completely cleared up my rosa cia.

I met my husband in 2007 and he was so surprised to discover I had permanent makeup. He is ten years younger and looks great but most people think I'm the younger one!

We now live in sunny Napa California and I make sure to follow Estelle's advice with skin care and continue seeing her for touch ups and skin treatment.

Thank you Estelle! You are the best!

Life is good!

Skin Needling, was I a skeptic, you bet.  I don’t believe anyone on this planet has spent what I have spent on my face.  I developed Cystic Acne approximately 30 years ago.  I had antibiotic treatments for 7 years, 2 treatments of Accutane, and that was just to stop the acne.  But a pimple here and there was always around the corner in one way or another.  Then there was the scarring; microdermabrasions every month for 4 years, 5 photofacials, and infractional laser treatments, and tons of acne medication products.  Still some acne and still scarring, and as I got older my skin started drying out and I developed dermatitis from all the lazering and the scarring looked even worse. But one day I heard Estelle’s daughter’s story and so I decided to give skin needling a try. Why not try it I had tried everything else.  Oh my God!  By the 3rd treatment, I have to look for my scars, my dermatitis is gone, and I have no acne.  It is easier and less invasive than lazering and the results are incredible.  Imagine running around with no make-up, never before would I ever consider it, but I do.  Please try this; you will be glad you did.  T.F.

I did my research and new everything there was to know about dry needling or face needling... I knew what to expect... or so I thought... untill I meet Estelle... OMG.... Estelle is one of those people who you can tell is genuine and down to earth upon meeting her.. Like a long lost friend... I was totally comfortable putting my face in her hands.. :-)

I got three treatments over 2 months...  What is amazing is as time goes by the more you see improvments...  My 88 year old Dad who is a nonsense kind of guy noticed something was different with me... One day he grabbed my shirt sleeve and spun me around as i was walking by... I was scared as he looked my face up and down... Then he says... "Were did your wrinkles go"... I was so happy that he noticed and I said... Estelle removed them :-)))Craig Allen Carmichael California

My name is Barb Jacobi and I am 76 years old.  Over the years I have tried to keep myself looking my best. My hair is silver white and I have a great hair dresser.  When I was younger I could do my makeup using eyeliner, eyeshadow, etc.. I developed a tear duct problem that made my eyes water constantly and my makeup would run.
When I visited with my daughter she introduced me to your permanent eye makeup and skin treatment.
When I returned home many people commented on how refreshed I looked. Which made me happy. It was so easy to do.
I visit twice a year and have touchups done.
In this day and age you need well qualified people to work on these sensitive areas.
Barb
