estelle’s Permanent Makeup: A Naturally Beautiful Transformation

For Estelle Field, owner of estelle’s Permanent Makeup in Bend, several key factors distinguish her permanent makeup from that of others who offer similar services: completely natural looking results and procedures that are relatively pain-free. Field specializes in skin needling, permanent makeup and wrinkle reduction with the goal of making her clients look naturally beautiful and years younger.
“Skin needling, or dry tattooing, is a healthy alternative to resurfacing without thinning or creating damage to the skin,” says Field. “It actually creates thicker skin and improves the integrity of the skin. This procedure is used to reduce wrinkles, laxity, acne scaring, pits, discoloration, stretch marks, surgical scaring, burn and trauma scaring. It is simple, safe, painless, has no complications and my clients consistently get great results.”
According to Field, needling is done with the use of a coil tattoo machine called a dry tattoo, where the skin is punctured, creating a ‘perceived’ injury. This in turn creates a pathway for the healing fluids of the body to come to the surface and nothing is injected. “This is about your own body healing itself,” says Field. “We just trick it into producing new, healthy skin. This procedure stimulates production of collagen and skin renewal as the body sends healing fluids to the surface to make new skin. Collagen is the substance that gives skin its vitality and healthy glow and helps its continuing renewal process. The result is smoother, firmer, younger looking skin and is not as invasive as laser or skin resurfacing, so the skin needs much less time to recover.”
The application of permanent makeup is applied with the same coil tattoo machine that is used for skin needling. Field, a self-described ‘artist gone tattooist,’ is a master at her craft and has been practicing for the past nine years.
“I spend a great deal of money on topicals so my clients are comfortable and on the very best pigment available, which I sell by the half-ounce,” she says. “I don’t have any unhappy clients and many who will swear by what I do. My pursuit for the best available training has taken me throughout the United States, so I am confident I’m the very best in my field.” Field gives back to the community by providing permanent makeup for cancer patients who have, or are about to lose their brows and/or eyelashes as a result of chemotherapy.
“Many women don’t realize that when doctors say they’re going to lose their hair, they mean all their hair, so I work with a surgeons who are involved in the plastic surgery end, as well as with the cancer research center and the cancer support center who send me these women who may be devastated by their hair loss. I do whatever I can to make them feel better and more feminine.”
An accomplished faux painter and artist, Field utilizes those talents to aid her in areola re-pigmentation and scar revision for mastectomy clients. “Before I got into this field, as a faux painter, I created things that looked like something else from nothing, rolling those skills over into this trade,” she says. “I’m an artist at heart and have found a way to contribute, knowing that we get back tenfold what we give.” Information: 916-541-5006 and www.estellesplace.com
